A New Academic Year at the CCSDD
CCSDD
October 27, 2013

With the new academic year in full swing, we figured it was high time to launch this year's CCSDD Intern Blog.

As you may know, the Center for Constitutional Studies and Democratic Development (CCSDD) is a research partnership between the Faculty of Law at the University of Bologna and the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy (SAIS Europe). The CCSDD conducts research and training in comparative constitutional law, focusing on countries undergoing processes of democratic transition. You can find more information about the CCSDD's work on our website.

Through this blog, we hope to keep you abreast of the goings-on at the CCSDD, as well as discuss current developments in the field of constitutional law.

The annual Sarajevo Study Trip is perhaps the CCSDD's biggest connection to students at SAIS Europe and the University of Bologna. This year's trip will take place from January 19-22, 2014. We will be holding an info session in November 2013 for interested students, with the exact date and time to be announced shortly. Stay tuned for an upcoming blog post by the trip's coordinator, our very own intern Jasmina Hodzic, the Sarajevo Study Trip Coordinator.

The CCSDD is also embarking on a number of exciting projects at the moment, including two speaker series (on law and international journalism), and putting the final touches on a book that will discuss contemporary political and constitutional transformations in North Africa and the Middle East. We will be posting about all of these activities and others as they develop.

In the meantime, you can check out the CCSDD's foray into social media, including our pages on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
