The "Constitutional History: Comparative Perspectives" conference, held on October 6-7, 2014 was a great success!
The conference was organized by the CCSDD, together with the University of Illinois, the School of Law of the University of Bologna, and the Accademia delle Scienze. Daphne Barak-Erez, Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel, presented the keynote speech. Panel topics included "Transitions and Transformations," "Constitutionalism Past and Present," and "Courts and Constitutional History." The comparative dimensions of constitutional history have received less attention within the field of comparative constitutional law. In this conference, participating scholars coming from different national jurisdictions tried to tackle this shortcoming by stimulating the study and analysis of constitutional history from comparative perspectives.
