The much anticipated annual Sarajevo Study Trip was a smashing success with a group of 30 students from both Johns Hopkins SAIS and the University of Bologna who participated in the event from January 17-20.
These students spent four days meeting with representatives from organizations engaged in post-conflict reconstruction, human rights issues and democratic development including UNHCR, Al Jazeera, the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the World Bank among others.
Not only did students have the opportunity to listen to various speaker presentations and meet with officials working on topics of similar interests, they also spent time exploring the various landmarks of Sarajevo and tasted the cuisine of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
