What are online courses?

The Center for Constitutional Studies and Democratic Development is a consortium member of the International Law Network "Europe and the Balkans", a project sponsored by the European Union. The project offers opportunities for judges from South Eastern Europe and Law professors from Western Europe to periodically convene and discuss relevant legal reforms impacting Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia. The discussions occur in traditional conference formats and via on-line courses offered during the academic year. The consortium representing 12 South Eastern European and Western Universities is intended to homogenize the education of those who exercise juridical functions in a few European democracies which have only recently become independent. The purpose is to create a model of a "European judge" as much as unitary as possible, which, hopefully, can be considered a useful reference for reforms of the legal systems of the South Eastern European countries.
