Sarajevo Study Trip
2013 Trip: 27 January - 30 January

The Center for Constitutional Studies and Democratic Development invites Johns Hopkins University Bologna Center students and University of Bologna Faculty of Law students to participate in a four-day study trip to Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina during the February semester recess.
The aim of the study trip is to give students the opportunity to meet with representatives of organisations currently engaged in post-conflict reconstruction, human rights issues and democratic development. It will show students some of the challenges involved in a real world post-conflict situation.
Spaces have been limited to 30 participants. Tentatively, 15 spots are available for Bologna Center students and 15 spots are available for University of Bologna students.
Before the Trip: INFORMATION SESSION - November 19, 2012 at 6.30 pm (SAIS)
The information session on the trip will be held on Monday, November 19 at 6:30 pm at SAIS, via Belmeloro 11, Room 301. Everyone who is interested to be selected for the trip is strongly encouraged to attend, as all relevant information on the application procedure will be given during the meeting.
How to Apply
The deadline to return the complete application form is by 3:00 pm on Sunday, 9 December 2012. SAIS students may email or give it to Francesco Biagi, the trip coordinator. University of Bologna students may also bring it to the CCSDD office, via San Giacomo 9/2 / first floor.

Confirmation deadline: selected candidates will have to confirm their participation, and pay the deposit of 100 euro, by Wednesday, January 9 2013.

Estimated Total Cost of Trip: €350-450. A €100 deposit is required: SAIS BC students will give it to the business office, University of Bologna students will give it to the CCSDD; the deposit will be refunded after trip is completed. Students will be responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements in Sarajevo.
