Center for Constitutional Studies

     and Democratic Development

The Center for Constitutional Studies and Democratic Development (CCSDD) conducts research and training  in the field of comparative constitutional law with particular focus on countries undergoing a process of democratic transition. Through conferences, workshops, film screenings and other initiatives, the CCSDD addresses issues such as constitutional reform, civil society development and enlargement of the European Union. 

The CCSDD was cofounded by the University of Bologna's School of Law and the SAIS Bologna Center of the Johns Hopkins University. It is based in Bologna, Italy.
